Terms of use
These terms cover the Domdoc website, the online editor, the playground, and an account on this site.
The service
Domdoc is a document editor. You can open a file on this website, try the same editor in the playground, or mount it in your own app with the SDK.
The SDK is licensed separately, under the MIT licence published with the SDK. Paid Commercial and Enterprise plans are optional. The SDK runs without them.
Accounts
You can use the editor on this site without an account. An account keeps a file in your library so you can open it from another browser.
You can register with email and a password, or with Gmail or GitHub, when those providers are turned on. You are responsible for the activity under your account.
Your files
You keep the rights you already have in a file you open or upload. You need the right to open that file here.
A guest file and the changes you make stay in this browser until you close the file or clear site data. The file is not stored on the account until you sign in and choose to keep it. A kept file stays in your library until you delete it.
The file you download is the edited file, in the format you opened.
Acceptable use
Do not use Domdoc to break the law, to upload a file you have no right to use, or to interfere with the service or with someone else’s account.
Plans
Cloud is free and can show ads on the library and on a document page. Ads are not drawn over the document. An ad-free plan removes that slot.
Prices, when a plan is offered for sale, are the prices the site loads for that plan. A paid plan that is sold here has a 14-day refund window.
Availability
The editor, the playground, and the library can change or be unavailable. A format that cannot do an action reports that it is unsupported.
These terms change when the date above changes. If a mandatory consumer law applies where you live, it still applies.
